Petzval

This is Pascale, photographed with my new Petzval lens. This is an unwieldy lens and I don't recommend it for all occasions. Like street photography. The lens doesn't seem like the right fit for the street medium. But when the weather improves (we are in a cold February as I write this), I will use it as a street lens and see how far we can go with it. Otherwise, this is a fabulous lens and a lot of fun to use. The lens focuses with a forward and backward shifting knob, as opposed to the barrel rotation system. What is really neat is the aperture control. Again, you don't twist the lens barrel ring to get the aperture. You slide aperture templates into a slot at the top of the lens. Pascale will be modeling again soon before this lens. Stay posted.
